No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known. John 1:18

NOTE: I have heard people say things to the effect that when John later saw God while receiving the Book of Revelation, it can’t be true – because no one has ever seen God. Needless to say, what John wrote above was true at the time he wrote it. It doesn’t need to remain true in the future when anyone ever reads it in order to be true as it was written.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5
And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. John 17:5
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:7
